About the watch box

Which size should I get?

The 20-Slot ($64.99) holds ten watches on display under a glass lid and ten more in a pull-out drawer, with a clasp lock and a drawer keyhole. The 12-Slot ($49.99) keeps twelve watches on display under a clear lid, with a hanging chrome-plated alloy buckle lock on the front (a latch, no key). Still not sure? Will it fit his watches?

Check his biggest watch against these numbers first. The 20-Slot measures 11.02 x 7.87 x 6.50 in (28 x 20 x 16.5 cm); the 12-Slot measures about 11.8 x 7.9 x 3.1 in (30 x 20 x 8 cm). Our supplier doesn't publish the size of each slot, so we won't promise that every watch fits. If his watches are very large or thick, or he wears chunky smartwatch bands, email hello@oakandhush.com before you order, tell us the watch, and we'll give you a straight answer.

How many watches does it hold?

The 20-Slot holds up to 20: ten in the top layer under the glass lid and ten in the pull-out drawer. The 12-Slot holds up to 12, all on display under the clear lid.

What's the lid made of?

The 20-Slot has a glass lid. The 12-Slot has a clear, see-through viewing lid. Treat either gently, as you would any display lid. If a lid arrives cracked, scratched or marked, that counts as damaged: email us photos and a short video within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you (see below).

Does it lock?

The 20-Slot's lid closes with a clasp lock and the drawer has its own keyhole, with one key included. The 12-Slot closes with a hanging chrome-plated alloy buckle lock on the front: it's a latch with no key, not a key or combination lock. Neither is a safe, so please don't rely on either to protect valuables.

Is it real leather?

No. Both sizes are black PU faux leather with white contrast stitching, over a wood frame. Inside, each slot has a removable cream pillow on a pearl fleece lining.

Does it have a smell?

It might when it's new. Faux leather can have a new-material smell when the box is first opened. Air it out with the lid open and the pillows out for a day or two before he puts his watches in.

What's in the box?

The watch box with its removable pillows already in place (20 for the 20-Slot, 12 for the 12-Slot), and a key for the 20-Slot. Watches aren't included.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

To street addresses in the contiguous United States (the lower 48 states and Washington, DC). We can't deliver to PO Boxes or APO/FPO/DPO addresses, and we can't currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or US territories.

How much is shipping, and how long does it take?

Free. Watch boxes take 1–3 business days to prepare and 3–7 business days in transit, so about 4–10 business days in total. There's no duty or fee to pay on delivery. You'll get a tracking email when your order ships.

Will it arrive in time for Christmas, or for his birthday or our anniversary?

For Christmas, order watch boxes by December 8 (11:59 pm Pacific Time). Orders from December 9 may arrive after Christmas. For birthdays, anniversaries and Father's Day, we suggest ordering at least two weeks ahead.

Can I send it straight to him as a gift?

Yes. Just enter his name and street address as the shipping address at checkout. It ships in plain, unbranded packaging. We can't add a gift note or gift wrap.

Returns and problems

What if it arrives damaged, faulty or isn't what I ordered?

This covers everything we sell. Email us at hello@oakandhush.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos and a short video of the item itself showing the damage or fault, plus a photo of the packaging. Damage only to the outer shipping box, where the item inside is fine, isn't covered. Once we've reviewed them, we'll send a free replacement or give you a full refund, at no cost to you. You won't need to send it back unless we ask, and if we do, we'll arrange and pay for the return. For minor cosmetic marks that don't affect how the box works — for example a small scratch or light scuff on the exterior — we may offer a partial refund instead of a full refund or a replacement.

Can I return it if he doesn't like it?

We're unable to accept change-of-mind returns on any item, or when a box doesn't fit his watches. Please check the dimensions before ordering, and message us with any questions first. Damaged, faulty or wrong items are always covered (see above). This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law.

My order hasn't arrived. What should I do?

Check your tracking email first. If tracking hasn't moved for 10 business days, or it's been 15 business days since you ordered, email us and we'll open an investigation with the carrier. For a parcel that never arrives in the contiguous US, we can refund or reship once it has been 45 days since it left our fulfillment partner's US warehouse without arriving. The 45 days count from the warehouse ship date on your tracking.

Tracking says delivered, but it isn't here.

We're sorry. That's frustrating, especially with a gift. Parcels marked delivered often turn up within a day or two, so please check around your property, with neighbors, with your building's front desk or manager, and with the carrier. If it's still missing, email us. Because tracking shows it as delivered, a claim needs a non-delivery certificate from your local post office with an official seal — tracking alone isn't enough. We'll explain how to get one and help where we can. Once we have that certificate, we'll refund or reship. Without it, any replacement or refund is at our discretion as a goodwill gesture, not guaranteed, but we'll look at every case fairly. This doesn't affect your legal rights.
